It Takes a Village...And Great Teachers!

I am so excited to get rolling on the ‘I Am So Thankful’ raffle event! Each weekday in November (except Thanksgiving) we will draw a winner for a prize that was generously donated by a local business. Please honor and remember our local merchants as we head into the holiday season.

Today’s prize is a free week of tuition at The Garden Playschool, valued at $175! This particular prize was only available to currently enrolled families at the school who made a donation of $35 or more to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The winner is Paolo and Mossimo Dell'Olio! THANK YOU to both the Dell'Olio Family and TGP for your support.

The Garden Playschool opened its doors in Warren in August of 2009, serving children 18 months through 5 years of age. Since that time, TGP has filled to near capacity, in no small part because of the amazing team of teachers who make every day a special adventure. I should know, because my daughter, Sydney, has been a student since the beginning! (This is Syd in this year's Halloween parade!)

TGP really focuses on child development, adopting the RI Early Learning Standards and The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. With large classrooms but small groups, the children experience learning through play, building the cognitive, emotional, social and physical growth they need in an interactive and nurturing environment. While that all sounds great, what Sydney loves most is the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, the library, the pre-kindergarten cafeteria (she feels so grown up), the field trips, her best friends and her teachers. What I love most? Her teachers!
