Christmas for Mommies! Our house received many blessings this Christmas, and we are grateful for each and every one of them. The stockings were hung, the children were nestled and before we knew it, Santa and a whole lot of family had descended upon us bearing gifts. A whirlwind day, but a very good one.
If you have a child younger than 14, your Christmas might have included a set from LEGO. Both of my children are fans, and therefore, what wasn't for an Our Generation or American Girl Doll, or wasn't Skylanders, was LEGO.
I love LEGO. Hours of imaginative play, sometimes together, sometimes separately. Little hands and brains working hard to build their own little world.
I also hate LEGO a tiny lit bit. For one thing, walk through a room with LEGO bricks barefoot in the dark. And don't swear out loud. Go ahead, try it. For another, small children and dogs are convinced these pieces are meant to be eaten or shoved up ones nose. But they're not.
You can imagine my glee at finding a device that helps resolve these issues without declaring your home a LEGO-free zone. A few weeks ago, while visiting LEGO Kidsfest, I happened upon the BISSELL Perfect Sweep. Freaking genius. A simple, easy to assemble, even easier to use, power sweeper that the KIDS COULD USE themselves to pick up, without losing any of their precious pieces. Yes, even the kids were psyched. So psyched, that when the BISSELL Perfect Sweep Turbo arrived at our house, we fought over who got to use it first. No lie, I had to make everyone promise not to touch it while it charged in the corner.
Before I show it to you in action, here's all you need to know: this is what it looks like out of the box, and assembled. Soooooooooo easy.
In case you haven't noticed, there is NOTHING on the floor in the playroom. This is a wild anomaly, and only exists because the hubs and I spent HOURS upon HOURS cleaning and organizing to make room for Christmas. It almost looks like I don't need a vacuum. Don't be fooled my friends. Don't be fooled.
This is the morning after Christmas - and it's still an anomaly because the hubs couldn't stand himself and had to go in and tidy up. (I manage to suppress these urges.) We still had plenty of bricks to demo the BISSELL Perfect Sweep Turbo without having to 'stage it!'
And, that was a 10 year old working it. This is what he had to say about the whole thing:
The lesson here? Go get one for yourself. Or your ten year old. Or your husband. Anyone can use it - on carpets, floors and hardwoods. Whether you have a lot of LEGO bricks, or messy toddler crumbs, or whatever to pick up, the BISSELL Perfect Sweep Turbo has got it covered.
Until 12/31 you can take $5 off of ANY Perfect Sweep Turbo purchase by using the code sweepupLEGO at checkout on bissell.com. It's the Christmas present that every mom needs.
I received a BISSELL Perfect Sweep Turbo to review, but as always, all opinions are my own. I only seek, accept and share information on products that I, or my family, will actually use.
