Life Lessons

believe in Karma. Karma is the universe's version of a selfie. You get what you give. You see what you look like.

This is not to be confused with tragedy. Children who get sick with awful diseases aren't suffering from Karma. Good people who have a crappy string of bad luck aren't suffering from Karma. Bad things do happen to good people. And it sucks.

Karma is when fair things happen to bad people. And in a twisted way, it's often satisfying. When shitty things happen to shitty people, you don't have to feel badly. It's a reset. It's like a double negative. Basically, it's a positive!

So, in my no bullshit parenting style, I give it to my kids straight. Life is not all unicorns, sugar cereals and smiley face emojis. This isn't Romper Room and I'm not Mr. Rogers.

Be kind.
Don't hurt anyone.
Put yourself in other people's shoes.
Treat others how you wish to be treated.

Or more simply...

Don't be a fucking asshole.
