“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”
Perfect words of wisdom from Anne Lamott. I am not sure there is much else to say today. You know how I feel about the loss of light, and mostly heat, so as we make the inevitable march towards winter, I will savor the inceasingly rare fall days with bright blue skies, warm breezes and empty beaches. I hope the same for you.
But since I can't just leave it at that, I'll also share this quote, for which I cannot find an author to give proper attribution:
"Fear before the calm. Calm before the storm. Storm before the victory."With today's exciting announcement of Listen to Your Mother 2016, now in 41 cities (wahoo!) there won't be many quiet moments in the months ahead. The fear of performing in (and co-producing) such a transformative show is long past. Today is the calm. The storm will be in all the details, preparations, submissions, auditions, selections, rejections, rehearsals and more, culminating in one spectacular night. Victory.
Savor the calm. We're coming for you Providence!
